Garage Floor Coatings in Eagle Mountain, Utah

Eagle Mountain is home base for Bluestone Surfaces. The city went from about 2,100 residents in 2000 to roughly 66,500 in 2025, so nearly every garage floor we coat here sits on a slab poured in the last twenty years.

Eagle Mountain is where Bluestone Surfaces lives and works. Our own garage is here, and so are a good share of our neighbors’ floors. When we describe what Eagle Mountain concrete goes through, we are describing our own driveway. There is no trip charge anywhere inside the city, and Eagle Mountain is usually the fastest place on our calendar to get onto.

A city of young slabs

Eagle Mountain sits in Cedar Valley, at the western and northern base of the Lake Mountains. Three investors bought about 8,000 acres here at a bankruptcy auction in 1994. The town incorporated in December 1996, became a city in 2001, and counted just 2,157 residents at the 2000 census. By 2020 that was 43,623, and the 2025 estimate is 66,557. That is one of the fastest-growing cities in Utah, and it shows up in the work we do.

The practical result is that almost every garage floor in the city is young. The 2020 census counted more than 10,500 housing units, the median age was 22.4, and families with children filled nearly three out of four households. New slabs, young families, and garages that hold bikes, scooters and a second freezer.

New construction slabs

A builder slab is the easiest floor we will ever coat, as long as it is ready. Concrete needs at least 28 days before anything goes over it, and fresh concrete still carries water. We moisture test every slab before coating. If yours reads high, a moisture vapor barrier goes down first and the job becomes a two day install instead of one.

The other thing builders leave behind is a bare broom finish with control joints and a few shrinkage cracks. Those get filled and ground flush as part of the job. Crack and spall repair is included, not an add-on.

Older garages and road salt

The city center is at least 15 miles from the I-15 corridor, so Eagle Mountain households drive a lot, on roads that get treated heavily in every storm. Magnesium chloride and road salt come home on your tires and sit on bare concrete until spring, and freeze and thaw does the rest. That is what pits and dusts a Utah garage floor by year ten, and it is the best reason to coat a slab here while it is still sound. Salt wipes off a sealed floor.

Winter, sun and your part of town

Eagle Mountain has two climates inside one city limit. In the Ranches, in the northeast, summers run hot, with July highs around 91 degrees and about 16 inches of precipitation a year. City Center, in the southwest near Fairfield, is drier with colder nights, averaging annual lows in the low 30s. Both areas see roughly 35 inches of snow in a typical year. The valley is open and sits close to 4,900 feet, so the sun is strong. The polyaspartic topcoat is UV stable and will not amber where sunlight comes through an open garage door.

What prep looks like

We grind the whole slab with diamond tooling instead of acid etching it, because grinding opens the concrete and gives the polyurea base something to bond into. Cracks and chips are filled, then ground flush. The flexible polyurea base goes down, your flake blend is broadcast wall to wall, and the UV stable polyaspartic topcoat locks it in. Most jobs are completed in one day, the floor is walkable the same evening, and it takes vehicles in a day or two. Flake blends and the full system are on garage floor coatings, and every floor carries the Forever Floor warranty.

Driveways, sealcoating and washing

Almost every Eagle Mountain driveway is concrete, so pressure washing is the more common second service here. Homes on the outskirts and the older rural lots sometimes have asphalt, and those are good candidates for a two coat asphalt emulsion sealcoat in summer, when the surface will hold 50 degrees and rising for a full day.

Because we are local, we can usually look at an Eagle Mountain garage within a day or two. Send us the rough dimensions and a photo of the floor and we will get you a free quote.
